Following the instructions of Jiangsu Provincial Intellectual Property (IP) Office, the IP Office and the patent law enforcement group in Xuzhou recently inspected a local pharmacy, a supermarket and a shopping mall to detain counterfeit patents.
The investigation targeted more than 300 items of drugs, home appliances and daily consumptions, including commodities labeled with patent numbers. Officials checked the patent protection status of those products and filed a case after finding the patent of one commodity had been suspended. They also educated the enterprises about patent protection during the investigation.
