Wang Yanwu, Director of the Committee of Education, Science, Culture, Health and Sports of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) of Henan Province, and Guo Minsheng, Director of Henan Provincial Intellectual Property Office, came to Sanmenxia City to inspect its IP work.

In recent years, Sanmenxia has been implementing IP strategy so as to enhance the local indigenous innovations and further raise public awareness of patent protection. It launched IP special campaigns targeting to cultivate IP advantage enterprises. Patent qualities are improving while patent applications are increasing. Sanmenxia has been awarded by the provincial IP Office for 4 successive years.

Sanmenxia officials presented at the meeting their efforts in IPR policy-making, institution building, financial support and project initiating as well as their experiences of enhancing IP innovation to drive economic development, which were highly affirmed by the provincial research and study group. Related departments exchanged views over how to better conduct IP work. Sanmenxia is expected strengthen its IP work so as to promote the transformation of the economic development mode.
