In a bid to advance the implementation of IPR strategy, promote the economic transformation and upgrading and enhance the regional core competence, Huzhou City of Zhejiang Province organized to hold a symposium on advancing the implementation of IPR strategy. About 12 representatives from enterprises, Huzhou Normal College, patent agencies and other departments attended the symposium. Director of Huzhou Science & Technology Bureau Wang Zhifang addressed the meeting.　

Attendees heatedly discussed various subjects concerning the major measures, results and problems in the implementation of IPR strategy. They also proposed a variety of suggestions in  advancing the implementation of IPR strategy.

Wang Zhifang emphasized that it was 2011 the year when the Twelfth Five Year Plan commenced, the economic transformation and updating stepped up and the national intellectual property model cities started to constantly emerge. Wang expressed that "All things considered, we should enhance the regional patent competence so as to encourage creation and improve quality; strengthen the protection and enforcement of Patent Law; improve the IP system mechanism from the perspectives of scientific management and optimization service and construct an IP cultural atmosphere from the perspectives of publicity and education."
