Recently, Shanghai Higher People's Court held a press conference on IPR judicial protection and meanwhile issued the Intellectual Property Judicial Protection by Shanghai Courts in 2010 and 2010 Top Ten Cases of Judicial Protection of IPR in Shanghai Courts. Vice Presidents of Shanghai Higher People's Court Zhao Qingfang and Chen Libing attended the press conference. The briefing also attracted more than 30 media reporters from Xinhua News Agency, China Daily and other major Chinese newspapers.

Chen Libing presided over the press conference. A responsible officer of Shanghai Higher People's Court No. 3 Civil Division introduced the selection  of 2010 Top Ten Cases of Judicial Protection of IPR in Shanghai Courts and the construction of Judicial Protection of IPR Website. Zhao Qinfang briefed the main contents of the Intellectual Property Judicial Protection by Shanghai Courts in 2010 and the future major tasks concerning the trial of typical cases and the uniformity of applicable law. She pointed out that the release of IP judicial protection was an important measure for Shanghai courts to promote the publicity of IPR judicial protection and push forward the social management innovation. The attendees concluded and reviewed the overall situation of IP judicial protection by Shanghai courts in 2010, the trials of cases involved with copyright, trademark and unfair competition as well as patent civil cases and IP criminal cases; proposed some suggestions on the creation, administration, protection and utilization of intellectual property.

Zhao Qinfang and the responsible officers of Shanghai Higher People's Court No. 3 Civil Division answered the questions posed by reporters upon the trail of the foreign-related IP cases.
