More than 20,000 pirated optical discs were destroyed in Haikou

Regulations on the Administration of Audio-visual Products,  Hainan Corps of Cultural Market Investigation and Inspection, along with Meilan District Comprehensive Management of Politics and Law Committee and Meilan Corps of Cultural Market Investigation and Inspection, carried out spot checks on a number of stores located on Haixiu Road of Haikou City, retaining 26,5000 pirated audio-visual products.

Around ten O'clock in the morning of May 4, law enforcement officials came to the DC computer city and found no pirated audio-visual products there. Then they visited the third floor of the Pearl Square and found three shops selling pirated audio-visual products. Two owners closed their shops and left, showing no cooperation at all.

The law enforcement officials came to the building property administrators and then forcedly opened the shops in the presence of property administrators to search for pirated optical discs. They spent two hours mugging up the statistics and finally briefing 265,000 pirated audio-visual products. 

It was reported that the raid action was a prelude to the special campaign and would last to the end of June.
