A Chinese e-book portal, Ikanshu (
http://www.ikanshu.cn/), was put online at the launching ceremony of the 3
rd IP Yonghe Tournament and the Promotion Month of April 26 World Intellectual Property Day in Beijing on April 15.
Ikanshu is the first Chinese e-book portal established to meet the growing demand of the mobile terminal readers by ChineseAll, a digital publisher. Cooperating with Apple, Motorola, Foxconn, Lenovo and other electronic giants, Ikanshu supports the round-the-clock download or online reading of all its e-books through various terminal equipments like PC, tablet PC, MID, GPS, etc. With abundant experience on digital publishing, ChineseAll ensures all legal copies and a vast choice on Ikanshu. E-books on the website include best sellers, classics, Internet originals, e-journals and audio books authorized by over 400 publishers, more than 2000 well-known writers and over 50,000 Internet freelancers.
Co-organized by the Yongheyuan Management Committee of Zhongguancun Science and Technology Park People’s Court and the IPO of Dongcheng District, and co-undertaken by the Internet Society of China and ChineseAll, the ceremony attracted 40 copyright institutions and cultural and creative enterprises in Dongcheng District. Present at the ceremony were Zhao Zhongyuan, chief director of the Dongcheng CPC Publicity Section, Tong Zhilei, president of ChineseAll, and heads of other institutions.
