Jiangsu procuratorates recently disrupted a criminal gang selling fake bags and watches with well-know brands such as LV, Gucci, Coach, Fendi, Longines, Rolex and Omega, valuing at over 6 million yuan. The suspects involved in the case were arrested.

Early this year, in concerted efforts of procuratorates, public security organs, supervision offices and commerce bureaus at all levels in the province, measures to fight against IPR violations were taken since the launch of the special crackdown on combating intellectual property infringement and manufacture and trafficking of fake products.

As of today, 7 criminal cases with 10 suspects have been transferred to public security organs, 15 suspects in 11 cases on IPR violations have been arrested, 6 cases involving 8 criminals have been reviewed in the courts and 19 criminals have been  sentenced, in which, 3 were sentenced to over three years in prison.
