Tianjin: Measures taken to promote IPR development

Tianjin plans to encourage 800 small and medium-sized technology enterprises in the city to submit their first-ever patent applications within 2011, according to information from Tianjin Intellectual Property Office the other day.
IP departments in Tianjin will take measures to increase the quality and quantity of independent IPR applications by creating more IPR pilot enterprises, motivating 2,000 enterprises to file patent applications within 2011 and cultivating 60 municipal IPR demonstration enterprises. They will also focus on increasing profits of enterprises by encouraging them to manufacture patent-intensive products, integrating resources of IP pledged financing and transforming patents into actual products.
