On March 21, a directors’ conference for IP offices in Henan was convened in Zhengzhou. More than 50 officials attended the meeting, including chiefs from the provincial IP affairs center and the provincial IP protection association, as well as directors from the IP offices at all levels in the province.

At the meeting, Guo Minsheng, director of the IP office of Henan Province, summarized the impressive accomplishments in 2010. He said that departments at all levels have achieved satisfying results in compliance with the initial work plan made at the beginning of 2010. He analyzed the existing problems on IPR and encouraged relevant departments to implement effective measures on promoting IPR so as to make a good start in the 12th Five-Year Plan period.

Directors from the IP offices delivered work reports on the implementation of IPR in 2010 and offered valuable suggestions on promoting IPR respectively. They also analyzed the existing problems on weak management systems of IPR organs, lack of IP talents and inadequate funds.
