Public security organs at all levels in Heilongjiang Province have conscientiously performed their duties and severely cracked down upon intellectual property infringement and manufacture and sales of counterfeit and shoddy commodities to safeguard the market order and improve the environment to boost economic growth. Since the launch of the special crackdown, public security organs in the province have resolved 56 cases, seized 105 suspects, destroyed 12 sites producing and selling fake products(worth more than 17 million yuan), disrupted 2 criminal gangs and confiscated over 1 million falsified labels, 350 cartons of spurious drugs, 130 thousand bars of inferior cigarettes and over 700 cartons of adulterated liquor.
In the crackdown on IPR infringement, public security organs at all levels in Heilongjiang enhanced the coordination and cooperation with relevant administrative departments for trade, industry and commerce, quality and supervision, copyright, food and drugs to investigate key manufacture sites, distribution centers and places where cases happened frequently. Furthermore, the organs successfully uncovered a batch of cases, in which, 2 cases involving over 2 million yuan each were worth mentioning: one was on manufacture and sales of adulterated liquor and handled by the public security organ of Daqing City. In this case, 3 suspects were seized, 3 sites were destroyed and 500 cartons of adulterated liquor worth 1.6 million yuan were confiscated; another one was on manufacture of fake steel ingots by Han Shanming and was investigated by the public security organ of Hegang City. In this case, 2 suspects were seized and 150 tons of fake steel ingots with the total value of 2 million yuan were confiscated.
The public security organ of Dong’an in Daqing succeeded in destroying one site producing falsified registered trademarks the other day, confiscated 102 cartons of adulterated liquor worth more than 600 thousand yuan and seized 3 suspects. Up to now, three major cases on manufacture and sales of fake drugs and seeds have been supervised by the public security organs in the province and the local procuratorates have already received the applications for the approval to arrest the suspects involved in these cases.
Heilongjiang Provincial Public Security Department plans for a three-month special crackdown on IPR infringement and manufacture and sales of counterfeit and shoddy commodities from now until the end of May. It will combat fake seeds, pesticides, fertilizers, agricultural films, food, drugs and daily supplies and will raid illegitimate production sites, tackled illegal wholesale gangs and investigate trans-regional cases.
