Gansu: Jiuquan established an invention association

Jiuquan City in Gansu Province celebrated the establishment of its local invention association the other day. Ha Nai, deputy director of the Municipal People's Congress attended the celebration; Chai Shaohao, vice mayor of Jiuquan City, and Xu Ruiduan, deputy director of the Intellectual Property Office of Gansu Province, inaugurated the invention association.

Ha required in a speech that Jiuquan invention association should provide service to stimulate public enthusiasm on invention, guide and promote the innovation activities, discover and cultivate innovation talents and enhance the connection among inventors, enterprises and governments.

Xu highly appreciated Jiuquan’s accomplishment achieved in recent years on intellectual property protection. He required the invention association to create a favorable environment for technology inventions and innovations in order to achieve more in this regard, aiming to be the "home for inventors".

The establishment of Jiuquan invention association will play an important role in promoting independent innovations, public inventions and enhancing the local economic and social development.
