According to information released on March 2 by Fuzhou municipal public security organ of Fujian Province, since November 2010, Fuzhou police force has filed 30 cases on intellectual property infringement and manufacture and sales of counterfeit and shoddy commodities, resolved 16 cases, destroyed 5 sites, disrupted 5 criminal gangs and arrested 78 suspects with about 19.37 million yuan involved.

The spokesman of Fuzhou municipal public security organ Chen Xiumin pointed out that in the special campaign, Fuzhou police force has confiscated 330 bars of fake cigarettes, 1,490 bottles of spurious imported wine, 426 bottles of inferior white spirits, 150 tons of fish powder with melamine, 320 boxes of edible oil, 1,000 fake toner cartridges and more than 100,000 falsified registered trademarks.
