Guangxi: patent grants increased 26.1% during 11th Five-Year Plan period

It is learnt that during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan period, there were 19,542 patent filings in Guangxi, with a yearly average increase of 16.4%. Among these filings, 5,564 were for invention patents and 11,926 were granted, increasing by 26.1%. Besides, 1,382 were granted with invention patents.

During the Twelfth Five-Year Plan period, Guangxi will centralize on the improvement of indigenous innovation ability, support the transfer of economic development mode, implement paramount S&T programmes and projects, deepen reform and opening-up, solidify S&T foundation, cultivate new strategic industry and promote the modernization of agriculture in an effort to build an innovation-oriented Guangxi.
