Sichuan confiscated 3.3 million pieces of illegal publications last year

In 2010, Sichuan confiscated 3.3 million pieces of illegal publications, shut down 4322 illegal stores, enterprises and outlawed websites and investigated 625 cases. It has achieved big progress on cracking down upon all kinds of infringement and piracy, according to a teleconference on anti-pornography and anti-illegal publications on February 16. Vice provincial governor Huang Yanrong attended the meeting.

In 2011, Sichuan anti-pornography and anti-illegal publications activities will target at purifying cultural environment, promote daily supervision and management and launch special campaigns on curbing all kinds of illegal publications and cracking down on piracy and distribution of pornographic information to protecting intellectual property rights.
