Qinghai Administration for Industry and Commerce destroyed eight production sites of counterfeiting and shoddy commodities in

Qinghai Administration for Industry and Commerce (QAIC) cracked down on intellectual property rights (IPR) infringement and manufacture and sales of counterfeiting and shoddy commodities. In January, in the law enforcement actions with the theme of "anti-infringement, anti-counterfeit, and stimulation of consumption ", eight sites were destroyed.

Since January 1, QAIC actively coordinated with relevant departments to take various measures to promote and protect IPR. 7,703 law enforcement officers were dispatched to investigate 27,486 business entities and 543 markets; 106 trademark infringement cases were solved; 8 sites where counterfeiting and shoddy commodities had been manufactured and sold were destroyed. A number of liquor, wine, cigarettes, alcohol raw materials, packaging and labels that infringed domestic well-known trademarks, fraud tools, together with some suspected counterfeit clothing and cement were seized, with the total value of 623,800 yuan.
