Zhang Jiahao, office director of the lunar exploration leading group said on Dec. 21st that the final outcome of Chang'e II has not yet came and the following Chang'e III is proceeding smoothly.

　　Zhang Jiahao said that the original designed life for Chang'e II is of six months to April next year, but due to the successful launch of fuel saving, the fuel in Chang’e II is still sufficient now. The outcome of Chang’e II still depends on the accomplishing of its scientific objectives and the planning of the lunar exploration leading group. To achieve a soft landing on the moon surface, Zhang said that at present the work proceeded smoothly, although many problems encountered, but they are confident to solve.
