China automotive industry plans IPRs construction

The 2010 Sino-Japanese auto industry seminar co-organized bythe China Automotive Industry Association and the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association held on 10thDecember in Beijing. This is the first time they work together in the field of intellectual property.

　　Strengthening the capability of independent innovation, improving product technology and quality and occupying a high-end in industry value chain are the key points to enhance the core competitiveness of the automotive industry, achieve sustainable development. As a form of technological innovation, intellectual property must be one of the major issues of auto construction. At the seminar, participants discussed about intellectual property-related subjects in the field of Auto industry.

　　Yesheng Ji, assistant Secretary-General of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers suggested at the seminar that China should enhance the intellectual property creativity by encouraging the use of IP transformation, strengthen IP administration, intermediary services and personnel construction to promote the comprehensive improvement in intellectual property rights of the automobile industry
