On the International Forum about “Creative Industries and brand Cities “, WIPO Deputy Director Dmitry·Genchev said on 21st that China's copyright protection is better than many countries and is above the average.

　　Dmitry ·Genchev said, according to a survey covering 15 countries conducted by WIPO, the copyright industries account for about 5% to 6% GDP and provide about 6% employment opportunities. China’s copyright industry accounts for 6.4% of GDP and provide 6.5% of employment opportunities. He said these countries were divided into three categories. The first is very active in the creative industry; the second is of great contribution made by copyrights; the third achieves a better balance and subject to further encouragement on copyright development. At present, China belongs to the third.
