Dmitry ·Genchev said, according to a survey covering 15 countries conducted by WIPO, the copyright industries account for about 5% to 6% GDP and provide about 6% employment opportunities. China’s copyright industry accounts for 6.4% of GDP and provide 6.5% of employment opportunities. He said these countries were divided into three categories. The first is very active in the creative industry; the second is of great contribution made by copyrights; the third achieves a better balance and subject to further encouragement on copyright development. At present, China belongs to the third.
