The Yunnan Intellectual Property Office convened the first meeting of its provincial leading group of the special campaign to crack down upon IPR infringement and manufacture and distribution of fake and shoddy commodities on December 6.
During the meeting, participants were informed of the progresses in formulating the "Action Plan of Yunnan Intellectual Property Office on the Special Campaign to Crack down on IPR Infringement and Manufacture and Sales of Fake and Shoddy Commodities" as well as the "Plan of Yunnan Intellectual Property Office to Push forward the Special Campaign to Crack down the IPR Infringement and Manufacture and Sales of Fake and Shoddy Commodities" and that of Kunming and Yuxi Municipal Intellectual Property Offices in implementing the special campaign. Tasks for the next stage of the campaign were also assigned at the meeting.
Mr. Gao Songshan, chief of the provincial leading group and director of Yunnan Intellectual Property Office, urged IP authorities across the province to strictly follow the requirements raised during the teleconferences of the State Council (Cabinet) and Yunnan provincial government and to seriously launch a special campaign to crack down upon IPR infringement with considerable scale, unique characteristics and substantial effect. The Provincial Intellectual Property Office will also set up a group to supervise the implementation of the special campaign in local areas.
It was known that Kunming Intellectual Property Office has taken instant actions after the provincial government announced the launching of the special campaign, including distributing the municipal action plan to the local IP authorities in towns and counties and actively promoting the carrying out of the campaign in the city. Yuxi Intellectual Property Office has also formulated its action plan and has promulgated the policies to the public on December 4 – the National Law Information Day so as to stably propel the special campaign to crack down upon IPR infringement and manufacture and distribution of fake and shoddy commodities.
