Hebei Held a Scheduling Meeting for a Pilot Program on Patent Pledge Loan

The Intellectual Property Office of Hebei Province (Hebei IPO) held a scheduling meeting on patent pledge loan pilot program the other day. More than 30 representatives participated in the meeting, including directors of IPR authorities in Shijiazhuang, Handan, Hengshui, Langfang, Luquan and Shijiazhuang New and Hi-tech Zone as well as IPR executives from more than 10 enterprises. Li Wencai, deputy director of Hebei IPO, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

According to Li, enterprises successfully implementing the patent pledge loan pilot program shoulder heavy responsibilities in opening up the patent pledge loan business, accumulating experience and making industrial exploration. Till now progress has been made in efforts of Hebei IPO and municipal IPO authorities in the province in promoting the program, which shows that the pilot project has achieved substantive development, helping small and medium sized enterprises explore new financing channels. Li affirmed the efforts and attempts made by subsidiary authorities in policy making, fund appropriation, coordination with financial and appraisal institutions in the promotion of the pilot program. He emphasized that the current priority is on stable implementation, while attaching sufficient attention on experience analysis and promotion.

In the meeting, representatives from affiliate authorities and enterprises also gave simple introduction on their representative progress in implementing the trial project and tried to accomplish the tasks by the end of November in accordance with “Notification on IPR Pledge Financing and Appraisal Management to Support the Development of SMEs” issued by Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Industry and Information Industry, China Banking Regulatory Commission, State Intellectual Property Office, State Administration for Industry and Commerce and National Copyright Administration.
