Foreign –funded enterprises are allowed to use China/中国 in the company names as long as their registered capital reaches the amount of 30 million yuan, according to the Opinions on Further Facilitating the Development of Foreign-Funded Companies by Beijing Administration for Industry and Commerce (‘the Opinions).

　　The Opinions provides 17 concrete measures to encourage the development of foreign-funded enterprises. The Opinions also provides communication channels with foreign-funded enterprises to guide them in the efforts to protect their trademark rights in view of the increasingly prevalent free-ride phenomenon in Beijing. Laws related to free-ride will be implemented to combat illegal actions infringing the rights of the foreign-funded enterprises.
