Jiangsu Holds Conference on Software Legalization

In accordance with the Circular on Printing and Distributing 2010 Plan on Promoting Enterprises to Use Legal Software made at the Ministerial Joint Conference on Promoting Enterprises to Use Legal Software and the Scheme of Jiangsu on Boosting Enterprises to Use Legal Software, the Office of Legal Software Work Leading Group and Jiangsu Provincial Copyright Bureau jointly convened a conference on training enterprises to use legal software. The conference commended Jiangsu’s second batch of model enterprises in utilizing legal software and educated more than 50 enterprises from Suzhou, Kunshan, Wuxi, Changshu and Taicang with software legalization.

At the conference, related leaders from Jiangsu Office of Legal Software Work Leading Group and Jiangsu Provincial Copyright Bureau profiled the evolvement of the use of legal software in the enterprises of Jiangsu, summed up the phase achievements in software legalization and awarded plaques to the second batch of National Level Software Legalization Model Enterprises and Provincial Level Software Legalization Model Enterprises.

Director of Jiangsu Office of Legal Software Work Leading Group and Vice Director of Jiangsu Provincial Copyright Bureau Fu Jiesan denoted the hope that the participating enterprises could learn from the model enterprises and actively develop software legalization work. He also said the enterprises that greatly improved their work in the utilization of legal software will be praised and those that still rampantly used pirated software will be exposed and investigated.

The Majordomo of China Zone of the Business Software Alliance (BSA) Yao Xin highlighted the importance of software asset management. He said that in the course of legalizing software, software asset management is an important science system for enterprises and hoped that more enterprises could be aware of the advantage of software asset management.
