Chinese Authority Supports Experiment to Transform Public Intellectual Property Rights Agencies into Corporations

The Chinese authority has lately clarified proceedings which prioritize innovative development in high-tech service industry in some areas through its Notice of Proceedings Promoting High-tech Service Industry from the State Commission of Development and Reform. China encourages utilization of diversified information resources of intellectual property rights and supports transformation of public intellectual property rights agencies into corporations wherever the conditions permit. The experience of the pilot areas will provide foundations for successful models to be further promoted and proposals for future policies and measures. Major projects considered as role models will be granted financial support afterwards.
