The 6th Annual Korea-China Copyright Seminar Held in Seoul Successfully

On June 10, the sixth Korea-China Copyright Seminar was successfully held in Seoul. The Seminar was authorized by the National Copyright Administration and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Public of Korea, initiated by the Copyright Protection Center of China and the Korea Copyright Commission, and held at the Beijing Oriental Yonghe International Copyright Trade Center. China and Korea have hosted the event on alternating years, and this seminar’s theme was, “the model exploration for practical cooperation between China and Korea in the copyright field during the digital information era.” Hundreds of people including senior managers and experts, scholars from governments, guilds, academic institutions and music, TV, online games industries attended the Seminar.
 
The Seminar was held as an exclusive copyright forum to meet the demands of long-term copyright communication and practice between China and Korea. The Seminar discussed the new problems emerging in the practical management of copyright and law enforcement and provided new thoughts for further copyright trade, protection and operation. Delegates from Renmin University of China, Beijing Oriental Yonghe International Copyright Trade Center, Korea Digital Copyright Exchange Center, Korea KBS World TV and enterprises gave speeches. Speakers discussed topics such as the study of copyright laws of China and Korea, the conciliation system in the copyright trade between China and Korea, and copyrights in new media, film and video, cartoon and online games.
