When the 77 trademark registration certificates issued by State Administration of Industry and Commerce arrived at the
Tian’Chi management committee, the Tian’Chi scenic spot had gained initial steps in success in intellectual property protection.
In July, 2007, the Xinjiang Zhongxin Trademark Law Office was entrusted by Tian’Chi management committee to apply for the registration of
“西王母” (A
goddess of
ancient Chinese mythology.),“瑶池”(
the dwelling-place of
the goddess)、“
瑶池明月”(Pinyin:yaochimingyue )、“天池明月”(Pinyin:tianchimingyue)_、“天山月”(Pinyin:tianshanyue). After three years, four trademarks registration related to 34 kinds of commodities, all were approved, except for the “西王母” registration; a total of 77 pieces were approved.
For a long time,
the Tian’Chi management committee didn’t pay much attention to the trademark registration related to the
Tian’Chi scenic spot. Many influential trademarks such as “天池” (Tian’Chi）were still registered by others. Because of the far-reaching influence and high value of these trademarks, they were used in many products, and this became a pinch for the Tian’Chi people. To protect other names related to the Tian’Chi scenic spot, the Tian’Chi management committee decided to spend 20,000 Yuan on the registration of “西王母”、“瑶池”、“瑶池明月”、“天池明月”、“天山月”. Finally, four trademarks of many products gained approval.
