Tian Lipu meets with the Director General of Israel Patent Office

　　

Tian meets with Commissioner of EU De Gucht

　　Recently, as invited by Israel Patent Office, the Office of Harmonization for the Internal Market (OHIM) and DG TRADE of European Commission, Director of State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) Tian Lipu visited Spanish, Israel and Belgium.

　　During the visit to OHIM, Tian met with the advanced officials, made communications in further cooperation on industrial design, and had better understanding of the working mechanism of OHIM and the situation of the community design, which laid the foundation for the future cooperation.

　　While in Israel, Tian visited Ministry of Justice, Patent Office, Agricultural Research Organization (ORO), Weizmann Institute of Science, the Office of the Chief Scientist and TEVA. Both Tian and Ministry of the Justice Yaakov Neeman highly affirmed the fine cooperation in fields of S&T, law, culture and economy, and signed the letter of intention on cooperation in industrial property rights.

　　Afterwards, Tian went to Belgium, Brussels and met Commissioner of EU De Gucht, Director-general of the DG Trade O'sullivan, Deputy Director General of DG Trade Balas and so on. Both the Sino and EU parts affirmed the progress in the cooperation in intellectual property rights, expressed the expectation for further efforts and also communicated on issues both concerned.
