Guangdong Shenzhen has half of PCT patent applications

On July 22, Shenzhen's Mayor Xu Qin met with Director of State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) Tian Lipu and his group. Tian Lipu expressed that Shenzhen is a model for IP work in the country.

　　Tian Lipu said, on the aspect of IP work, Shenzhen is a model in the country, its PCT international patent applications accounted for 50% of the amount in the country. Shenzhen Municipal Committee and Government attached great importance on IP work and made forward-looking decision-making. The feeling of the investigation was profound, and the ideas and thinking of Shenzhen's entrepreneur had global vision. IPR would be the supports of the future development of industries, and paying attention to IP work was completely accorded with current situation of the development of economic society in Shenzhen. SIPO will continue to support Shenzhen's IP work.
