The reporter learnt on July 9 from the draft of Managing Measures on National Quality Award that, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) will set up National Quality Encouragement Committee consisting of relevant departments of the State Council. The businesses qualified for the National Quality Award must master the core technologies of such products and own indigenous IPRs. Besides, the technological innovation, product R&D, energy saving and emission reduction as well as the operational performance should be in the leading position in the trade. Meanwhile, qualified businesses should have no serious accidents concerning quality, environmental protection, safety production and public health in recent five years. No substandard products were found in the selective quality inspection launched by the state or the province.
