Chinese Enterprises vigorously implement IPR strategy

"My biggest dream is to let people around the world use 'Made in China'," said a chief of a digital laboratory with sturdy look.

In a recent investigation and research organized by State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO), reporters found while visiting enterprises that people in different industries have the same dream. Although with different expressions, entrepreneurs act uniformly, that is using the power of intellectual property rights and striving to create the "Chinese core" of products.

The first Chinese enterprises depending on core technology with independent innovation are striving to carry out the mode of "Made in China".

Though the guideline of "technology patentization, patent standardization, standard patentization and industry marketization" is simple in expression, it is hard to implement. Datang Telecom Group has delivered 10 years' efforts for this.

Take the 3G standard for example. With untiring efforts and several intellectual properties as the core competitiveness, Datang Telecom handed over the TD-SCDMA standard to International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in 1998 and the standard was successfully accepted as one of the main 3G international standards. And this was the significant historical turning point in getting rid of restrictions in the international competition.
