Ministry of Agriculture reaches high record on acceptance of variety applications

It is learnt from the Ministry of Agriculture that, it accepted 992 pieces of variety applications in 2009, increased by 14% compared with last year and hit a historically high level.

In recent years, in the process of promoting agricultural development mode, Ministry of Agriculture takes variety protection as the core, seriously implements IP strategy, encourages S&T innovation, strives to break the restrictions of resources and environment, and effectively enhances the core competitiveness of Chinese breed industry and agriculture, and the supporting function of IP system in agricultural development is more and more remarkable.
