On March 16, the flower new variety "China Red" presented Shanghai Expo. During the duration of Shanghai World Expo, there will be 20,000 basins of "China Red" blooming in China Hall. It is informed that the new variety with proprietary intellectual property rights was cultivated by Shanghai Flower Port.

The reporter saw at the spot that "China Red" had bright color and thick lamina. According to Vice General Manager of Shanghai Flower Port Guo Honghua, "China Red" is specially fostered for Shanghai Expo and is only exhibited in China Hall.

After Shanghai Expo, Shanghai Flower Port will cultivate "China Red" further and the citizen can buy such flower in the market next year.
