IPR2 Stakeholder Briefing and East Meets West forum (22-23 April)
2010/03/15
In 2010 IPR2 enters its third year of implementation in China. At the same time, China is moving into a third year of its national IP strategy. Stakeholders in Europe are invited to a briefing and networking session in Vienna which will highlight the results and priorities of this joint technical assistance project and update on IPR protection and enforcement in China in various areas (patents, copyright, trademark, etc). View preliminary agenda.
Input from stakeholders in Europe is essential to the work of the IPR2 Project; this session will welcome contributions and feedback from the wider IP community. Stakeholders are invited to register before 15 April 2010. Participation for the IPR2 Stakeholder Briefing is free-of-charge. Register now.
The IPR2 stakeholder briefing and networking session takes place in the Austria Trend Savoyen hotel in Vienna, alongside the European Patent Office's annual "East Meets West" 2010 forum which is being held from 14.00 on 22 April to 23 April. This aims to provide stakeholders with an additional opportunity to engage with the wider IP community, in particular patent information users, and to hear from international experts on developments in Asia.
This year's East Meets West forum will take a close look at the progress achieved in Asian patent data collections and at the roles that patent offices, commercial providers and the patent information user community play in making these collections widely available. The forum will also spotlight the latest developments in Indian patent information; compare the IP situation in India and China and introduce the patent system in Malaysia.
Please note that registration for East Meets West should be done separately. Register for East Meets West (including accommodation options).
