Ministry of Transport has issued the "Management Measures on Intellectual Property of Transport Industry" (hereinafter referred to as "Measures"). The "Measures" aims at regulating the intellectual property rights work of transport, strengthening the utilization, protection and management on intellectual property rights in transport industry. This indicates that the Ministry of Transport to further strengthen the intellectual property rights management.

The "Measures" makes revision of the original “Management Measure on Intellectual Property of Transport Industry (trial)" published by Ministry of Transportation in November 2003. The "Measures" is divided into six chapters and 44 items, the names of chapters are general principles, responsibilities, ownership, protection and management, rewards and punishments and supplementary articles.

The fourth chapter of "Measures" provides for the intellectual property involved in the transport industry, which increased the computer software copyright, badges and domain name marking exclusive rights. The name of fourth chapter of revised "Measures" was amended from "management" to "protection and management", and increased provisions of intellectual property protection.

The "Measures" standards the IPR protection and management in international cooperation, and regulates that in all kinds of S&T cooperation and exchange activities including international cooperation in research and development, joint research and development institutions, personnel and information exchanges, science and technology study, academic conferences, science and technology exhibitions, technology trade, the unit shall comprehensively strengthen the management and protection of intellectual property rights, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the cooperating parties.

The "Measures" further improves the system of rewards and penalties.
