MIIT releases result of 9th Information Industry Technology and Invention Appraisal

On December 28, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released the result of the 9th Information and Industry Technology and Invention Appraisal and 7 projects were appraised as information and industry technologies and inventions.
MIIT Vice Minister Lou Qinjian said that, the appraisal activity selected a pile of projects with high technologies, good economic benefits, market potentials and IPR protection. These projects drove technological innovation in some fields, reinforced enterprises' innovative awareness and ability, raised the recognition to independent innovation and IP rights and played an important role in guiding and impelling the progress of industries and technologies.
Vice Minister Lou also expressed that, strengthening independent innovation and enhancing IPR use and protection is a way to advance the development of electronic information industry, and still an important bolster to cope with current financial crisis, enhance the competitiveness of industries and restructure and optimize industrial structure.
