Days ago, the Soft Science and Patent Strategy Promotion Project Leading Group of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) held an appraisal meeting to conclude the items in 2008 Patent Strategy Promotion Projects. At the meeting, 13 items passed the acceptance inspection.
The subjects participating in the conclusion examination involved many technology fields including railway and traffic, top grade numerical control, Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), genetically modified rice (GM rice), photovoltaic industry and pesticide manufacture. The appraisal group consisted of experts from the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) and Beijing Municipal IP Office. The experts listened to the subject reports, examined research reports and raised some questions.
By analyzing patent information, these subjects made research on patent situation, existing problems in corresponding fields or industries, trends, key technology and key competitors and proposed some proposals. The subjects aimed to elevate the IPR awareness of enterprises and public institutions and enterprises' competitiveness in domestic and global markets.
It is informed that the whole appraisal work will come to an end in middle April next year.
