In the newly carried out investigation against illegal video and visual websites by State Administration of Radio Film and Television, several famous BT websites are closed due to operation without license. The campaign again warns all the video and visual websites in the country.
BTChina is among those influenced BT websites. On the home site of a website named as “TianTian BT”, there is also a notice saying it has annulled all the links for downloads and couldn’t offer order programs, online playing and even transmitting as without the license.
In addition, websites for video sharing, online video and others are troubled by the copyright issue and even they have obtained the license. The action taken by State Administration of Radio Film and Television will have huge influence to the situation of the video industry.
The global anti-piracy trend brings BT industry into the center of stage. As all contents are pirated, the huge stream resulted from free BT is regarded as the “waste water” of the industry. According to advertisers, BT websites’ value resides in the stream, which is gained by pirating the legal videos. The closing of BT websites gives a side blow to the stream data of video websites and is good for the rights and benefits of the legal ones.
