
On November 16, the public patent information service platform for Chinese TV sets firms ran into operation formally at the 11th China International Hi-tech Fair after 2 years’ construction with 5 million yuan.
“It signals a big step forward for Chinese TV set exporters in aspect of intellectual property rights,” said Deputy Secretary-general of China Video Industry Association Hao Yabin. It is the first patent service platform in China, and the establishment of the platform will be propitious to the construction of the patent pool for Chinese TV sets industry.
After its establishment, one of the main tasks for Zhongcailian Company is to set up an alert information platform on patent for TV sets industry, and this could be helpful in telling what patents for TV sets used by Chinese TV set firms.
At present, the first and second stages for the construction work have been completed and there are 2,158 patents in relation to North America, 592 patents in relation to Europe, and 4,299 patents in relation to China in the data base, totaling 7,049.
