2009 Zhongguancun Forum is opened today. Top officers, Nobel Prize winners, hi-tech entrepreneurs from the U.S., France, Canada, South Korea, Japan and other countries gathered in Beijing to discuss hotspots and difficulties in the world and how to use science and technology to ameliorate people’s life and boost social development.

The forum is themed with "the ability of innovation and spirit for entrepreneurship" and focuses on economy, environment, energy and other hot issues. It contains five parts, which are Group Development of Global Innovation, Low Carbon Economy and Green Development, Innovation in Finance and Scientific Development, Intellectual Property Strategy and Protection, and Scientific Innovation and Spirits of Entrepreneurship.

The two-day forum is co-hosted by Ministry of Science and Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, State Intellectual Property Office, and Beijing Municipal People’s Government. The forum is helpful to the communication and cooperation between international S&T parks and cooperation and development of technologies.
