Puma sues shoe retailer

2009/11/11

Sports brand Puma is suing Chinese shoe chain shop Zhongta for copyright infringement in the Beijing No 1 Intermediate Court, and asking for 500,000 yuan in compensation.

Puma claimed five of Zhongta's shops in Beijing sold shoes with similar trademarks to Puma.

Zhongta said the trademarks were different and did not infringe on Puma's brand. The court will deliver a verdict at a later date.
