Mainland protects Taiwan trademarks

The Chinese Mainland is vowing to protect the trademarks of Taiwan’s well-known agricultural products from preemptive registration. State Council Taiwan Affairs Office spokeswoman, Fan Liqing made the remarks on Wednesday morning.
She says the central government will revoke Mainland-registered trademarks for Taiwan agricultural products, such as Sun-Moon Lake and Ali Mountain.
Fan, also says that during the past 7 years, island companies have registered 47,000 trademarks for its products on the Mainland. Giant, Uni-President, and 6 other trademarks are the most well-known brands.
Fan, adds that the Mainland has crafted several regulations to protect Taiwan enterprises’ legal rights.
