US Minister of Commerce Gary Locke will visit Guangzhou and Hangzhou from October 26 to 30 and will preside over the Sino-US Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade (JCCT) together with the U.S. trade representative Ron Kirk and Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan.
The JCCT was founded in 1983 and is a key forum in solving bilateral trade disputes and creating Sino-US business opportunities. The annual meeting this year will be convened in Hangzhou on October 28 and 29. At that time, US Minister of Agriculture Tom Vilsack will also participate in the meeting.
On October 27, Gary Locke will attend Pearl River Delta Innovation and IP International Forum in Guangzhou, which is co-hosted by American Chamber of Commerce and Guangdong Provincial IP Office. Gary Locke will also discuss the importance of IPR to the next generation of innovators and enterprises with local university students.
