China High-definition Disc Industry promotion Association (CHDIA) announced in Beijing that, it has produced the next generation of high-definition DVD with AVS in bulk which supports the international standard. The action means that, in the next period of DVD market competition, China has got independent IP and will have word right.

From VCD to DVD generation, although China's disc and disc player industries accounting for 30% of the global production, China was actually a role of manufacturer and it need to pay high patent fees every year.

The expert of China Tsinghua University Pan Longfa expressed that, China was an audience in the institution of DVD technical standard, but now with independent IP and equal word right, China's next generation of high-definition DVD will change international authorization rules.
