On September 22, the 6^th National IP (Patent) Excellent Investigation Research Reports and Appraisal Meeting of Excellent Soft Science Research Achievements was held in Beijing. Deputy Director of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) Gan Shaoning presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.

Gan Shaoning hoped to further consummate the appraisal procedures and standards and make the appraisal work more reasonable and standardized so as to raise the enthusiasm of IP soft science researchers and fully exert the reference role of soft science research in the decision-making of China's IP cause.

The 6^th National IP (Patent) Excellent Investigation Research Reports and Appraisal Meeting of Excellent Soft Science Research Achievements got supports from SIPO, the sections of Patent Bureau, local IP offices, universities and colleges and scientific research institutes and received nearly 200 works from 27 provinces, cities and autonomous regions.
