"Ultraman Burger" Restaurant was Sued by Copyright Owner for Alleged Infringement

On March 13, Shanghai Xinchuanghua, the Chinese agent of the "Ultraman" trademark, issued a formal prosecution against "Ultraman Burger". The case will be heard on May 24, 2021. Regarding the unauthorized use of the registered trademarks of “Ultraman, ULTRAMAN” by “Ultraman Burger” and “Ultraman Castle” restaurants, the company has formally filed a lawsuit with the People’s Court of Xuhui District, Shanghai. The case will be held in May 2021. The court will be held on the 24th. Tsuburaya Production Co., Ltd. is the holder of the "Ultraman, ULTRAMAN" series of trademarks, and the exclusive license to use the trademark in mainland China to Shanghai Xinchuanghua Cultural Development Co., Ltd., any unauthorized actions of use of "Ultraman, ULTRAMAN" series of trademarks without the company's permission will be suspected of infringement, and the company reserves the right to pursue legal liabilities.
