From March 1, the "Regulations of Shanghai Municipality on the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights" (hereinafter referred to as "Regulations") passed at the 28th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 15th Municipal People's Congress will be formally implemented.
As the city's first comprehensive local law on intellectual property protection, it will provide a strong legal guarantee for comprehensively strengthening intellectual property protection, advancing the implementation of national intellectual property strategies, stimulating innovation and creativity, and creating a world-class business environment and innovation environment.
The "Regulations" cover various intellectual property rights such as patents, trademarks, copyrights, geographical indications, trade secrets, integrated circuit layout designs, and new plant varieties.
