Starting from March 1, the maximum sentence for infringement of intellectual property rights become 10 years

At the end of last year, the 24th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 13th National People's Congress passed the amendment to the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China (11), which will come into effect on March 1, 2021.
 
In addition to highlights such as lowering the age of criminal responsibility for minors, this amendment to the Criminal Law also revised the relevant provisions on intellectual property crimes, among which the "up to 10 years for intellectual property crimes" has attracted much attention.
