Chinese Premier pledges to carry out National IP Strategy

On September 10, the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting of the New Champions (2009 Dalian Summer Davos Annual Meeting) was opened in Dalian city, People's Republic of China. Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao attended and addressed the opening ceremony.
Wen stressed that, the standpoint of China in protecting IPRs is undeviating and China will continue to implement National IP Strategy, create the atmosphere of protecting IPRs from the aspects of laws, market and culture, let all innovative fruits be respected and rewarded, and promote all the inventions to transfer into productivity.

Wen Jiabao also emphasized that, IP protection is the necessary demand in inspiring innovation and boosting development. And IP protection is the prime mover to protect innovation. All the nations should jointly raise the ability in IP creation, use, protection and management, respect the domestic situation of each country and give attention to the benefits of all the countries, especially those of developing countries, develop dialogue and cooperation on the basis of equality and mutual benefits, and impel the construction of a balanced and effective IP protection system.
