According to the report, in the first half of 2020, a total of 136,434 technology contracts were registered nationwide, have decreased 7.3% compared with the year earlier, and the transaction volume reached 770.72 billion yuan, raised 6.5% compared with the previous year. The national technology transaction continued to maintain a steady growth trend. According to the statistics of the types of intellectual property, 56,287 technology contracts involving intellectual property were signed, and the transaction volume was 361.20 billion yuan, accounting for 46.9% of the total transaction volume of technology contracts nationwide.
Among the four types of technology contracts, the turnover of technical service contracts reached 368.41 billion yuan, ranking first among the four types of contracts, with a year-on-year growth of 0.7%. The volume of technology development contracts reached 325.19 billion yuan, raised 22.9%. The turnover of technology transfer contracts decreased significantly, reaching 59.77 billion yuan, declined 22.6% year on year. Technical consulting contracts increased from the previous year, with 17.35 billion yuan of transactions.
Based on the statistics of the technology field, the top three areas of transaction volume are electronic information, urban construction and social development and advanced manufacturing. Among them, electronic information technology contract transaction volume continued to maintain the leading position, which is 220.89 billion yuan, dropped 2.5% year on year; Urban construction and social development rose to the second place with a turnover of 131.28 billion yuan, increased 64.9% year on year. The advanced manufacturing sector ranked third with a turnover of 95.96 billion yuan. Among the various technical fields, aerospace, biomedicine and medical devices, new materials and their applications showed year-on-year growth.
According to statistics of technology trading entities, enterprises as legal persons continue to maintain the status of technology trading entities, exporting 94,243 technology contracts, with the transaction volume of 689.97 billion yuan, accounting for 89.5 percent of the total transaction volume of technology contracts nationwide. The turnover of technology contracts exported by scientific research institutions increased to 38.99 billion yuan, up 30.0% year on year, and 13,298 items were exported. The output of institutions of higher learning dropped significantly, with 23,508 items exported, and the turnover reached 16.12 billion yuan, down 61.7% year-on-year.
The statistics of the types of intellectual property shows that 56,287 technology contracts involving intellectual property were signed, and the transaction volume was 361.20 billion yuan, accounting for 46.9% of the total transaction volume of technology contracts nationwide. Among them, there were 28,686 secret technical contracts, with a turnover of 168.60 billion yuan. There were 16,836 computer software contracts, with a turnover of 62.33 billion yuan. A total of 8,155 patents and technology contracts were concluded, with a turnover of 105.40 billion yuan.
Based on the statistics of different categories, a total of 19,521 technology contracts for science and technology planning projects of governments at all levels were signed, and the transaction volume was 140,250 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 15.4%. Among them, there were 5,015 projects planned by the state and departments, with the turnover reaching 25.03 billion yuan, down 10.1% year-on-year. There were 7,181 provincial (regional and municipal) projects, with a turnover of 59.82 billion yuan, climbed 24.0% year-on-year.
