10,619 meters is the maximum diving depth announced by Haiyan on July 16 this year. This figure once again refreshed the world record of underwater glider diving depth previously held by it. "Haiyan" set a world record with a diving depth of 8213 meters in 2018. The record-breaking is the "Haiyan-X" 10,000-meter underwater glider in the "Haiyan" pedigree, which is a new type of 10,000-meter light underwater observation under the special support of the national key research and development program "Key Deep-sea Technology and Equipment". The system is jointly developed by Qingdao Marine Science and Technology Pilot National Laboratory and Tianjin University, and has China's independent intellectual property rights.
