MCPRC approves to hold China Chengdu International ICH Festival

On August 28, the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China (MCPRC) approved to biennially hold China Chengdu International Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) Festival together with Sichuan Provincial People's Government during the national Cultural Heritage Day in Chengdu city of Sichuan province.
The reply required that, Chengdu Municipal People's Government and Sichuan Provincial Department of Culture should study and establish a long-term mechanism of holding the festival, promote the protection of ICH list projects, representative inheritors and cultural zoology experimental zones and the construction of museums with ICH theme, civil museums and the places to teach and learn ICHs, quicken the cultivation of ICH protection professionals, and enhance the construction of basic platform for international exchanges, cooperation, ICH exhibition, etc..
